Animals and humans have a lot in common. And studying animal behavior can give students a better understanding of human behavior. This tab will surprise and delight students with fascinating lessons from nature on group dynamics, family structures, communities, the environment and more. News activities explore wildlife and environmental issues in local areas. Eye-catching, up-close photos add to the fun! TG.

Sample Newspaper Activity
Some primates communicate with expressions, rather than sounds. Look through today’s newspaper for photos that show people saying things without words. Look at the people’s faces - do they look angry or happy? Are their hands in their pockets or are they pointing a finger at someone or something? Examine each photo very closely. Then cut out three to five photos and write captions that express the body language in words.
